I am sad. I know I won’t always be sad but sad is where I am. I try to keep things upbeat bc *gestures broadly* & I don’t want to add to the collective malaise but I’m sad. The wrong people are leaving too soon while the worst of us get to keep on w no consequences. It’s dumb.

My Paw-Paw’s services were yesterday & it was the first time I’d ever been to my grandparents’s house without seeing him in the backyard on the swing that he built. I really thought he’d outlive the universe. I don’t understand that he’s gone. He is the good in the world that we need in these times.

A shrimp poboy in the gospel tent is exactly what my soul needs in these times✨

The throat punch of the day was going to call my paw-paw bc I always call him on the first of the month to give him the final tally of how much I walked in the previous month. He loved walking. No matter my answer, his response was always “Holy mackerel, lady!” Yeah this is not great.

I’ve been preoccupied to say the least but there’s always going to be a few seconds in my day to say fuck that bitch ass evil Cajun elf on the shelf ass Jeff Landry. I hope he knows his fire baton twirling for orange daddy is getting him to nowhere but the depths of hell. Xo.
