Is "Yume/Dream" actually a genre? I have my OCs in the KHR, and they’re basically just hanging out and being friends with the canon. Is that considered a separate genre from "Yume," or is it still the same thing? I need to grab a hot chocolate and give this some more thought...

I even have my own interpretation/fan-concept for the Dino Cavallone’s financial assistant (?) Rico! He’s not my OC, of course, but I think I’ll share my design for him in some sketches soon. It won't be full concept art, obviously. The character belongs to the original creators.

I’m a huge sucker for friendship and found family tropes in any setting, so I usually don't write romance or draw it with my OCs (aside from canon ships). It might look like something else from the outside, but I just love deep, platonic bonds...₍ᐢ｡ ˬ ｡ᐢ₎

There’s something so cozy about imagining how characters live their normal lives between missions. Just being human: making mistakes, spilling drinks, missing the subway train... Handling problems that aren't world-ending or fight-related.

Seeing fandom characters in daily life brings a sense of peace and connection. It feels like you’re right there in the same world, sitting on a bench next to them, just sharing the moment. As an author or a fan, you just need to be with them instead of watching from a distance.

Wi [vi:] — Her primary name and what most people call her. It’s actually short for Weni. Weni ['vɛni] — A shortened version of her full name. Used only by those closest to her. Wiwi [vi'vi] — A nickname used mostly by good friends.

The name Wi is a shorthand version of another nickname Weni. Her full name doesn't actually exist in any real-world name registry. It’s meant to be pronounced with a "hard" sound, similar to German, Italian, Polish, or Scandinavian phonetics. Wiwi is just a two-syllable repetition of her main name.

It’s funny, but since finishing school, I’ve realized I’ve started craving slice-of-life, comedy, and light drama over pure action or fighting. That’s why I’m so into the "gag comedy" vibes from the very beginning of the 'REBORN!' manga ₍ᐢ ̥ ͉ ̥ᐢ₎

I really missed those simple, absurd plots from the comedy arcs in 'REBORN!'. That’s why I like it when other fans headcanon the characters everyday lives like awkward moments at the supermarket or on a plane ₍ ᐢ. ̫ .⑅ᐢ ₎

It’s actually super convenient! It makes the protagonist a HS senior or thereabouts. The manga's timeline is still a bit of a mystery to me, so let's just say Tsunayoshi Sawada is around 17–18. Everyone else has aged up, too, of course. By the way, I’ve set the Dino Cavallone age at 26.

Oh, and I also want to give some love to the female characters of KHR! So, you’ll definitely see some "girls' club" content here and there...

It’s kind of funny writing an adult heroine for a teen-centric setting. I want to look at this world through adult eyes. Plus, I’m writing post-canon, so everything here takes place after the final chapter. To be precise, it’s set 2 years after Akira Amano’s original story ends.
