I'm getting a little tired of hearing about illegal immigrants from an immigrant who's behaving illegally.

The Gulf was named after the Mexica, aka the Aztecs, who lived along its western coast when it was first "discovered" by Europeans. In their native language of Nahuatl it was called Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl. I think "Gulf of Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl" has a nice ring to it.

As I stood there over their headstones holding my coffee, I thought, "Should I 'pour one out' for my mom?" Laurie was never much of a coffee drinker but Mom had it every morning. 2/6

On Wednesday morning, I drove my husband to his dentist appointment. Our dentist's office is right next to the cemetery, so I decided I'd stop by and say hi to my mom and Auntie Laurie. It was 18°. 1/6

No matter where you go, there you are. Unless you're here. You can't be here and there at the same time. Of course, if you're not here and you're not there either, then you must be somewhere else. But that's neither here nor there.

She likes to hang out under my chair while I'm working, make absolutely no sound, and lightly tickle my leg with her tail. I think she just loves to startle me.

Happiness is a good neck and chin rub.

We watched the Beetlejuice sequel. It was fun. Of course we had to watch the original first because it's a masterpiece. Now I get to have "Day-O!" Stuck in my head for another decade or more. Thanks, Tim.

It's not often that I get to say, "Beat it! Scram!" in context, but with this little guy, opportunities are plentiful.
