Norwayâs ChargĂ© dâaffaires Mr Ădegaard at yesterdayâs memorial event in Lety. The Lety Memorial is to commemorate Roma and Sinti Holocaust victims, supported by Norway Grants. The Memorial is built at the site of the concentration camp for Roma and Sinti people, where over 300 people died.

Today marks 80 years since Norway was liberated â after five years of brutal occupation. Since then, we have enjoyed a free and democratic Norway, and perhaps we have taken it somewhat for granted. Today, on Liberation and Veterans Day, we appreciate those who fought for our freedom. Thank you.
