We left the city traffic and heat behind as we climbed into the cool mists of Bukidnon.

An older part of downtown Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao, Philippines is now bustling with trikes, motorbikes, cars, and jeepneys. Signs from newer shops jostle at street level with those of the past, like the broken neon of the long-vanished Skyhi Theatre.
