I really see this in my own evangelical family. Because their litmus test for whether someone is credible is if that person confirms their religious beliefs, they end of listening to some ridiculously crazy people. It's why they believe so many stupid conspiracies!

We assume when people talk about morality, we’re all talking about the same thing. But, we’re not. There are actually two fundamentally different ways to understand what morality is for.
