Here's my final Zoid of the year. I decided to be a little different with this one and give it a candy red colour scheme (even though the underlying 'Ferrari-style' colours aren't that original). Ended up coming out great though! #Zoids

Well my 2026 is going to be weird…

My first attempt at elevating my models (a Redler and a Reddra) with a couple of new techniques - namely two different types of camo and a diorama background. Didn't come out too badly I think! Looks really nice on my shelves. :). #zoids

I painted this one a while back, but I only just got around to taking some decent pictures of it. Was a fun model to make, and I just couldn't resist popping him into a diorama (all that shopping makes you hungry for ramen! :)). #zoids

I’m resisting the temptation to get myself a H&S Infinity 2024 2in1 airbrush. I don’t need something so fancy…. But my god it’s pretty! :p

It’s been an afternoon of pleasant surprises! Finally started to go through the box of old C64 games my dad kept ahold of for me at home. Some are apparently worth £250. In half way through and sat on £2k already D:

I have this GIANT guy showing up after new year. Lots of time to consider what colours to paint him, but considering chameleonic paint for a colour-shifting effect. Always open to more ideas though!

Finished painting my Liger Zero Jäger. First time attempting candy colours and I think it went well, but man it’s time consuming! I have plans to pose and put into a diorama later, but for now I will let the gloss varnish fully harden (it takes a while!).

I’ll take some proper photos of this later, but for now I think I’ve finally finished my Zoids dogfight dioram.

So tired! Going to bed at midnight is probably the cause, but playing games and painting models is too much fun. I don’t wanna go to bed when the time comes!

Phase 2 of hallway storage complete. Now into the final bit, which will be building the radiator cover, putting a marble surface on it and finding a grille for the front.

Started work this weekend on adding a shoe rack and storage to the entryway. Only around 20% done so far and took me all weekend. *collapses*

The office is virtually finished - just need to add a bit of extra lighting. That, however, can come over time as I find pieces that I like. :)

They said they’d show me ‘such sights’, but after I solved it they realized I was a furry and had already seen too much.

Going to be an interesting day. A lorry has hit the railway bridge right outside my workplace. It’s now closed until structural engineers review it. So only 1 way in, which is also the same route as a festival/event going on today. I sense lots of cancellations and/or grumpy outpatients incoming!

Office revamp getting closer to completion. Just awaiting shelves, cupboard doors, seating pillow, and a few accessories.

If I hear a politician talk about ‘efficiency’ in the NHS one more time I may just go insane. Healthcare isn’t a sandwich shop. People don’t get well on a controllable schedule. Cutting staff for ‘efficiency’ will only have the opposite effect.

Back from the cruise! Fun to see that when I was gone the cursed area nearby had another accident, this time with a bus losing control and ending up on a river. Never a boring day in Eastleigh!

Oh, also…. Some bright architect thought that putting the stairwell on a large glass atrium at our hospital would look classy. It’s freezing in winter in there, and during summer you could cook an egg. Can’t touch the metal railings at the moment because they are so warm!

No, I’m not insane for taking a jumper into work. Our department is airconned (for the benefit of the drugs, not us). Makes adapting to the temperature outside when I pop to the loo a right bitch!

A neighbour has the LOUDEST cat. Like, I’ve never seen it but I’m sure it’s using a megaphone. I’ve decided that it must be my spirit animal because it’s annoying yet adorable. ;)

Desk surface cut down, sanded, and taken back to the office for oiling. Exhausting work. I’m knackered now!

Got a delivery today and they got it right…. I do indeed need 2 men to handle me. ;)

One third of new diorama finished! Next stage is another model (to make a dogfight formation), and then to make the base look funky (like them flying over mountains or something). This is going to take months to finish though…

Anyone else annoyed that the first episode of the new ‘Love, death, & robots’ series is just a music video? Not a sci-fi one either. Filler content isn’t a new thing, but on the first episode is just tragic.
