feel like ppl are evaporating. saw this movie got a "great wide reception" because 228,000 "smart tvs that counted ppl who watched the film for at least a minute" saw it over weeks. didnt movie theatres count millions in a weekend ? are ppl engaging with creative media ?

Is the gh alt still a tossup between codeberg, srht, gitlab? My issue is that I make a lot of private repos but I guess I could just stand something up myself …

Read the Dilbert Future in fifth grade. I remember a big part of the book was about how women invented religion to control men and how you needed to take it back with affirmations. Weird book. RIP to Adams tho, he seemed very contrite in his last months as though waking up from a long dark dream […]

what i think about sometimes is how self-hosting actually makes my stuff less likely to survive if i suddenly die. like if i was just keeping a site on neocities for free or w/e it would likely stay up, but on my own vps it would last a few months then go offline

i took a novel with me on the train rides to get myself to read something that wasn't theology and then didn't read it, downloaded a theology book and read it instead on my laptop. this appears to be a fixation rn

i think what i would miss the most is music; playing and listening alike both require linear time, embodiment, motion. nonlinear time would have nothing like it

why aren't we all living like 18th century nobility? we kind of are in the sense that the most popular activities are gambling and getting into arguments but we should bring back living in the country and spending half the year visiting people at their houses in the country
