#Flames thoughts on 5-4 shootout loss to the Jets. Nazem Kadri was outstanding tonight. I also liked Farabee tonight. He went to the net and made a nice pass on Kadri's second goal. There is some skill. The PK was solid. Gridin has at least created a debate on where he plays.

I get the Flames fans excitement for Parekh. But I dint think he’s quite ready for the NHL. I wish there was a way that he could play in the AHL.

I remind you that three things can be true. 1. I think the Soloyov loss is an error. 2. There are some in the Flame fan base that have overrated their prospects. Phillips, Pelletier, & Kerins are good examples 3. In general, the Flames have done a solid job with prospects

Soloyov was claimed by the Avalanche. I’m not one to criticize Conroy. But losing Solovyov was unnecessary. I don’t understand why Mirimonov and Bean are not on the roster.

Ryan Huska has been extended to the 27-28 season. I think this is great. Huska has grown and learned each year. He's an intelligent coach who has brought stability to the organization.

I don’t think Dan Vladar got the respect he deserved for the role he played last year. He gave the Flames some solid minutes. That is something they are going to miss this year.

I've never been a fan of the overuse of the bullpen in baseball.. Teams don't trust their starter enough. Example: Padres pulling Cease go 3 and 1/3. I know there were two on. But PCA is struggling and swinging at everything. Didn't like it.

didn't get a chance to watch the #Flames' pre-season game last night. It sounds like Zayne Parekh had a strong game. What is encouraging me is not only his on-ice work. But it seems like he is carrying himself with confidence, not arrogance.That is a great sign.

My first football game I watched was the CFL. I fell in love with football. I spent many years at old McMahom Stadium. Watching Canadian football. To hear that they are going to "Americanize" the game just breaks my heart. I'm sad today. Not sure that this is a smart move.
