I can't believe it, but I did
#genuary1
fully inside Kinogaki. This spanned a lot of improvements, nodes, ideas and so on. I also added ability to name nodes and write comments so that when you share other people can understand.

Still working on recreating
#genuary1
. This is an amazing exercise that prompted a lot of good changes. Third screenshot are the nodes inside the For Loop node. Wait until you see what a "Code" node can do :)

One important thing that I’ve learned, but have hit or miss applying in real life is this. When you look at your code/product/artwork and get this tingly feeling at the back of your head saying that there is this little thing that’s off, you should always fix it.

As means for testing KINOGAKI, I'll power through Genuary once again using only it, just to make sure it's working. Will also publish all of the scene files as well.

I’m moving a long. A lot of improvements, bug fixes and features. Maybe next week I’ll post installers and a few more videos. There is a node that allows you to write code (which compiles to machine code), there are nodes that allow to do for loops as well. Exciting stuff…

My total count of new lines of code for today is a negative number and I’m proud. The simpler everything is the more reliable it is. Can’t wait to share with you all an updated version.

Absolutely. There are plans for a whole context to process images and then use them to influence various parameters. Also nodes for color, physics, there are loops. There is also Code node that I’ll record a video on next.

Releasing an app that people can install is apparently witchcraft. A lot of waiting on certificates, DUNS number, and what now. Good news - that the desktop version is so stable and fast - it's almost indescribably better experience compared to the web version I published.

I generally dislike using AI when I code. Only use it on boilerplate code (simple in logic but long to type) o3-mini is really good. It started to change my mind. It feels like it’s inspired by the code that’s already there so it looks and reads the way I would’ve written it. Really interesting.

It is out! Go check it out. My dm's are open - I'll be happy to hear comments suggestions and just chat about it. There are lots of things to do. Lot's of things are planned and in the works, but for now I feel like it's time to release it into the wild.

Day 17 of Genuary 2025 Prompt: What happens if pi=4? In the software I use to generate this I wrote custom sin/cos functions that accept arbitrary PI value. From top to bottom it goes from 3.14 to 4.0 while drawing a circle.

I've added custom xsin and xcos functions to scripting capabilities of "plot" and now I can show how things change when PI slowly becomes 4.0. Just need to color this and plot. This code runs per each point created by a point_grid.

This may as well be the most important node I write. It's using LUA in the background, but I will augment it so that it's more C like syntax without 'then' and 'end'
