I’ve started my Ctrl Alt Ego replay since yesterday. I still bloody love this game. This strict difficulty + no powers run is going to be awesome.

Fredo's Game-Os: I've been spending some time with CTRL ALT EGO lately, an indie immersive sim from 2022. This one is kind of a sleeper hit, made a lot of "hidden gem" lists and seems highly regarded by your "in the know" types. Spoiler alert: It is really good!

Thief II: The Metal Age was released 25 years ago today. I played it once and barely remember it. I thought it was not without issues but a decent enough sequel. I then used it as a modding and fanfic platform for the next ten years. With it I explored my gender identity and got hired at Arkane.

I finally started playing Thief: Deadly Shadows. It's cool to see some new ideas: NPC reacts differently when the candle is distinguished near them or far away, stepping on a cat alerts the enemy, etc. I'm not a big fan of the loot glow and high requirement on Expert though.
