Rotarians Linda and Charlotte prepared an early Christmas Dinner for some lucky kids at the Cheery Tree Youth Hub in Romiley

Even in dark times Rotary shines through.

We are at the Made in Manchester Festival 20th September 2025 at Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club . Stockport Lamplighter Rotary will have a stall at the festival to raise money for charity. Every penny raised on the day will be used to support Young People Leaving Local Authority Care.

On Saturday 8th March we collaborated with the Manchester Clubs to organise the annual book giveaway at ASDA Hulme . This was very well attended we had around 2000 books available !

Many thanks to LSH Mercedes in Stockport for loaning us this mechanical reindeer to tow our Santa sleigh this December.

Santas Touring Heaton Norris Tonight We will always do our very best to cover all of the roads listed in the area but there may be significant variations.

We are collecting for a number of good causes this year but our main focus is the Stockport "Warm and Well" initiative to provide safe warm places over the winter period. Two of our members kept warm another way at a supermarket collection . Fun and fellowship is also important to our club.

We have produced a 1000 flyers on Pension Credit applications to distribute at our Christmas Collections and at the Warm and Well locations.

The club makes regular microfinance loans to entrpreneurs in developing countries using @lendwithcare.bsky.social We have just made loans to folk in Equador,Vietnam,Cambodia and the Philippines. We are now approaching some 500 loans.
