Feeling kinda crappy tonight. Been going through an annoying through line of medical issues and the meds my doc gave me are knocking my ass out 😅 But I did play some Screamer tonight and I wanted to correct something I said before. Previously I stated the game is ridiculously difficult.

Finished Act 2 of Screamer This game has my full attention. The two teams I was worried about definitely started shining more here - mostly the team leaders. Still not big on the Jupiters. Still love Noboru & the J-Pop girls. But man the story is TAKING OFF! Tier list of characters currently

For Cirkus: Love. Claire has been his constant for so long and his friendships are much more minor for him. For Corvus: Friendship. Not just his friends from Class VII who helped him become who he is, but also because he would rather have his friendship with Renne and no love than the opposite.

Okay so something I just learned about Screamer - each of those different color pegs tells you which faction that section of story focuses on. But in the menu, the background music changes depending on which one you're looking at! I love tiny details like that 🙂‍↕️

So since I am going to be rocking 2 OCs/Yumes, I kinda wanna get two more pieces of them. One for my banner that's Cirkus, Claire, Renne, and Corvus And then a PFP of Cirkus and Corvus. There's work to be done first, though 😌

One thing that I both love and hate in Screamer is that the story mode has you changing racers a LOT It's nice because part of the difficulty is not knowing how certain cars handle. It's also a great learning tool. But also, some of them handle like poop from a butt which can be annoying. 😅

Screamer spoilers but STOP STOP! HE'S ALREADY DEAD! Anyway I love Akane. She's definitely my favorite in terms of gameplay so far, and I am enjoying her as a character.

Just finished Act 1 of Screamer! Thoughts so far: The story and characters are really good actually. What's surprising to me is that you bounce between playing as different teams and seeing their own storylines. At first my worry was that the Banshees were going to be the only ones we get to...

Something cool about Screamer is that all the characters speak their native language, but it makes my brain forget how English works when I hear Spanish, German, Japanese, French, and English all being spoken together in the same scene. Like it makes English - a language I speak - feel foreign.

Okay. Unlocked a new character, gave her a try, and did a LOT better. The game is still very hard, but I'm slowly picking it up. Something cool is that each character has unique stuff to them. So Ritsuko here has higher top speed/more gears but at the cost of boosts. Also this game is gorgeous 😍

I am having a *blast* with Screamer but it is one of the hardest games I have played in my life. 15 races in and this is the first time I haven't finished in last place... By one 😭 But anyway Lavinia is peak.

Semi-scrapping and restarting on my new OC. I was making him a little too similar to my old one in terms of story, and came up with a cool way to still do what I want with him but without that similar streak. ...And I still don't know if I want to Yume him with. It's an ongoing struggle 😅

I think I decided on Corvus's Yume. It's just weird for me because someone else I know also Yumes this Yume and I feel weird Yumeing a Yume who is already Yume'd. I gotta work on his character page so nothing is really set in stone (especially since I'm gonna be doing CS where the competition is)

Just watched a video from Second Wind (group that was previously The Escapist before the execs tanked the company) about "film sequels that hate their franchise" and it's interesting to see that there's more out there that feel this way in media than just Danganronpa V3. 😅

Tbh I might hold off on my new OC a bit. I dunno Been thinking about it a lot and I do really like the design and backstory I have for him but I'm in such a dilemma when it comes to the ship because there are two fantastic options I want to go with equally, it's just about content I guess.
