On the 10th day of Givemas, APF gave to me…🎶 This year, our Dr. Christine Blasey Ford Grant supported Shae Nester's research on trauma-related dissociation among survivors of sexual trauma, a critical yet deeply underfunded area. Through this work, Shae is bringing care & healing to survivors. ✨

On the 9th day of Givemas, APF gave to me…🎶 In 2023, APF supported Joonwoo Lee’s research on relational trauma among transgender & nonbinary people. Thanks to donors like you, Joonwoo is promoting healing, building community, and fostering resilience among the LGBTQIA+ community. ✨

On the 8th day of Givemas, APF gave to me…🎶 This year, we supported Ki Yan Ip through the Alma Empowering Minds Scholarship & Mentorship Program. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’re supporting her goal of expanding access to mental health care for historically marginalized communities.🌟

It's the 7th Day of Givemas with Dr. Luz Garcini!❄️Dr. Garcini researches the specific health needs of marginalized immigrant communities. She shared that APF’s support helped her expand her impact, and was the first time she felt her work & the communities she serves were truly seen.

On the 5th day of Givemas, APF gave to me…🎶 This year, we supported Linda Duverné through our Alma Empowering Minds Scholarship & Mentorship Program. Linda is pursuing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a commitment to intergenerational healing for Black & Haitian populations.

It’s Day 4 of Givemas! ❄️ Dr. Jorge Cuartas, 2022 APF Koppitz Fellow, studies corporal punishment and child development in low & middle income countries. APF’s support created a critical ripple effect, expanding his work in preventing violence and improving the lives of countless children.
