Whenever I'm in a fandom, I try to take advantage of my enthusiasm and channel it towards studying smth new. For ALNST, it was Korean poetry. For Transformers, it was mechanical engineering. For Hazbin Hotel, of all things, it's ended up being Korean-US Immigration in the Early 20th Century.

Knowing too much about kink/BDSM really makes fandom an interesting experience sometimes because seeing "brat breaking" conflated with "brat taming" makes me sink my head into my hands… those are different things… I should be able to filter for them differently <— will never happen
