Enjoyed my dinner with Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott @SenRickScott along with his lovely family and friends. He’s a big fan of Canadians (alot of snowbirds call his state their 2nd home). Took the opportunity to share how Alberta and Canada are the answers on energy and food security.

Alberta’s energy plays a vital role in North American energy security. Here at home, every barrel of oil we produce supports not just our economy but the infrastructure we all rely on—schools, hospitals, and roads.

By voting against our UCP government’s motion to prohibit enforcement of the Justin Trudeau energy production cap in Alberta, @albertaNDP and @nenshi have put political interests of their friend @JustinTrudeau and boss @theJagmeetSingh ahead of Albertans. They truly are Trudeau’s choice of Alberta.

The Council of the Federation had a meeting with Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau to discuss an approach to dealing with the 25% tariff on Canadian products threatened by the incoming U.S. administration.

Canada’s Premiers are united: the federal government must take the new U.S. administration seriously. This is about more than politics—it’s about protecting the jobs, livelihoods, and prosperity of countless Canadians.

Big News for Alberta’s Energy Future! Our government is investing up to $50 million to launch the Alberta Drilling Accelerator—an open-access test site for Alberta’s world-class drillers to innovate and push boundaries.

The incoming US @realDonaldTrump administration has valid concerns related to illegal activities at our shared border. We are calling on the federal government to work with the incoming administration to resolve these issues immediately, and avoid unnecessary tariffs on Canadian exports to the U.S.

When Alberta leads, Canada benefits. Despite a challenging national job market, Alberta accounted for 91% of the country’s job growth in October, adding 13,200 jobs across sectors like construction, manufacturing, and education.

Although I support a Team Canada 🇨🇦 approach to building a strong and collaborative relationship with the new 🇺🇸 U.S. administration, Alberta will also take the initiative to forge direct and meaningful partnerships with the United States to drive North American prosperity and energy security forward!

Carbon taxes and production cuts are not the answer! It’s time for Ottawa to partner with the USA and turn North America into the energy superpower we know it can be.
