2 years ago today, having just entered my 40's, I left a vastly underpaid job to join @smart-union.bsky.social, Local 3. Contrary to claims, I found a group that not only welcomed me with open arms, but hitherto strangers that took an active interest in my life & interests.

Such a breathtaking sight. You can just barely make out the atmosphere in Artemis 2's image! Also the Artemis image feels "dingy" compared to the Apollo one. As if the clouds are dirty. Of course, that's probably just my own biases slipping in...

Just started the "Titan Mage" box set on Audible. Only about an hour in, but @edieskyeauthor.bsky.social does not disappoint. It's an isekai story with harem points and a plot focusing on Mecha fights. It's a fun story with a good cast.

I don't know of *any* merger that has benefitted anyone except the owners/shareholders. The prices are never lowered as promised to the customers, and wages/safety never seem to improve for the workers. More often, both groups have *worse* situations.

By chance, I spotted a sizable imperial moth on my way to an appointment this morning! Luckily, I still had my work tools in my truck.
