Silence. There's just. Quiet. Nothing to feel. Nothing to say. Nothing to do. But sit here. In the void. And it's, okay. Everything's okay.

So like If you find yourself suddenly in a cave With a bunch of hot dragons And you have a burning cruelty in your teeth A sense of inherent evil deep in your heart Declare your need for closeness anyway. Roar your pain. Your grief. Somehow, you will find yourself in their pile. Warm. Kept.

I keep trying to say hello. But all that comes out are screams.

Considering a cave in the forest. Mine is isolated, these desolate rocks. It's nice. It is what I know and like. But it might also be nice to sit under the shade of trees more too. Somewhere closer to others. Maybe.

Grief is like the ocean. Sometimes you're crushed under the pressure. Sometimes the waves are throwing you around. Sometimes you're gasping desperately for every breath. But sometimes, you're floating above. And the sun is shining. The storm has mostly passed. And you survived.

Now there's this, trepidation. Of putting my heart on the line. Again. A fear of being hurt that wasn't there before. I had been hurt before, but not... not there. Not where it really mattered. My scales worked too well for too long. So the first thing to slip past them burned my soul hard.

Worn deep grooves into the stone with my pacing. Can't help it, I'm a creature of habit.

Nuts are crunchy, but otherwise not particularly interesting. Much prefer fruit.

There is a fog over my mind and heart. I'm tired. Can I be done? Can I just, be fucking done?

But you know. Some people do stay. Even though many do not. Even though I bite and scream. Even though I am cruel and angry. Some of them stay. And are kind. Even to me.

Fall apart for me.

Laying by a river. Watching the water. To the taste, it's fresh. Cold. No hint of salt. So I watch its flow. Slowly, it moves down stream. And is replenished. Has it been doing that this entire time? Even when I'm not here. It's a very long sequence. A whole life to be lived before it ends.

It also feels good to land, to stow my wings. That feeling when they tuck gently by my side. Comfortable.

You can teach someone how to love you through examples. Sounds. Images. Places. Experiences. Taste. But not the void.

Only problem with red scales is it is hard to notice all the blood splatters on them. Very sad.

Pride comes with being a dragon. Because you know your worth. You know what you are, what you can do. Because you look in a mirror And you see someone who is worth fighting for: yourself. You know you are mighty. And no one can take that from you.

Above the clouds, there's just an endless expanse. You can see the horizon. You can see the soft tufts and long spiraling sworls. The warm sun on your scales. The wind grazing your wings. Cleansing. The wind blows away everything stuck to you. Here, it's just you. And freedom.

I love my wings

I find myself flying today. Not for joy, exactly. Just to get out. To be somewhere else. To watch the landscape rolling beneath me. To see how life looks, how the world is. Feeling the wind on my face, on my wings. It is calming. I've been stuck inside for too long.

Bite everyone you meet. I guarantee you, they deserve it. If not now, then they will later.

The fool: "I'll never find the same person again, I am broken upon the shores of loss and isolation." The enlightened: "Every relationship is fresh and different, unchained from the shapes and flavors of others."

You know, the problem with seeing someone in everything you like is that when they tell you to fuck off, you can't fucking go anywhere without seeing them. Fucking annoying. I just want to look at sexy women in peace.

What if I lay down in the middle of a field Sunshine on my back And just fucking sprawl? Who would stop me? Who could? No one. Impossible to prevent a dragon from enjoying herself.

After your heart gets ripped out, fruit tastes just as sweet. Fruit is indifferent to your feelings. Reliable. Sturdy. Utterly undefeatable. It will be there long after all you care about has turned to dust.

Resolved to not be alone anymore. To not let myself be isolated. The problem is I also hate people.

Look, there's plenty of fish in the sea, but. All that fucking salt water. Awful.

Fucking vegetables. Terrible. Green beans are the worst- they squeak. Sharp teeth aren't made for this.
