Sometimes I miss writing on hard deadlines like I did tonight. With a few exceptions, literal newsrooms have vanished sadly, but the rush and the adrenaline of being in one and having a firm deadline is something any writer who has done it can attest to.

Some people must have taken the phrase “go play in traffic” way too literally as kids because I’ve never in my life seen people just walking out into full fledged roads/avenues/parkways as often as I do now.

The Sandlot is still such a timeless movie that takes me back to some of my happiest memories of just being a kid. If you have a movie like that, go watch it or make plans to in these times.
