Taking my daughter to a train station in Birmingham today so I did some googling and found a nearby park that is supposed to be great for drone flying. Charged and packed all the tiny whoop stuff but also my DJI for some cinematic type stuff - hopefully.

Damn. Just found out one of my two remaining uncles died this week and his funeral is tomorrow in another state :/. I actually kinda liked this one even though I didn't get to see him or talk to him really ever. He was a laid back stoner kinda personality when I saw him last (my early 20s). /1

For the most part I like who I am. Of course there are things to change/improve. We should be, imo, always trying to "grow" or better ourselves and while I like who I am for the most part - there are times where it sucks being who and how I am not matter how much I like those things.

The problem with adhd is when that hyperfocus hits but you have many fascinating hobbies - how do you choose? Like I need to design and 3d print an attachment for my drone so I can fly it around objects and tie them with decorative knots while recording a narrative soundtrack!

It really is ridiculous how much I enjoy building crappy little home furniture pieces (currently putting another short bookshelf together for my bedroom).

My son got me another 3d printer for Christmas. Kinda taken aback and very grateful. My daughter got me a large selection of very tasty looking coffees and other various cool shit! I’m not used to actually getting stuff for Christmas.

This new tiny drone is a fucking beast. I just flew, and crashed, around a parking garage and it was super fun.

Because the kit I bought came with 260 mah batteries instead of 300, my batteries did not fit as well as they should in this case so I took a BT 2.0 cap and added a stem to it and now they fit perfectly.

So, because of who I am as a person, I could not stop with the little white box once I saw this one. So I added the text and the picture of the drone to the top and printed this one last night.

Oh....this sounds good!

What happened next: @emmie.bsky.social became a beautiful unicorn Christmas tree.

Grief is so fucking strange. It has been 10 1/2 years since my dad died but yesterday was his birthday or would have been and for some reason it’s hitting me much harder than it has any right to.
