trump can't seem to grasp the idea that you can't just demand respect. Respect has to be earned. When someone coddles you in order to manipulate you, or to appease your fragile ego, they do it out of contempt. Respect has nothing to do with it.

If there's any one control the feds should have over the election process, it's that every state should be required to keep, and maintain paper ballots. Relying on electronic voting is not a secure option for preventing fraud.

The number of people who didn't vote in the last election because they were lukewarm on Harris, and/or they didn't take the threats trump posed seriously enough, would have been more than enough to prevent all the ugliness that is happening now.

Both Democratic senators' and representatives' responses to trump's administration have been anemic, and ineffectual. Since the republicans quashed their attempts to impeach him, they seem afraid of being labelled as vindictive, or something. They need to change their direction quickly.
