I like to think I have very refined tastes, but some good slapstick will make me absolutely cackle.

One of my favorite memories of MO State football games as a child was waiting for the Bears to emerge from the tunnel before the game. I'm way too excited it's coming back. The renovation of McDonald Arena is an even bigger deal.

Springfield Little Theatre’s production is a feast for the eyes and ears. The set is gorgeous and the cast has worked hard to learn so many dialects, including the difficult Newfoundlander dialect. If you know “Come From Away,” you’ll love it. If you don’t know it, it’s worth checking out.

This Thursday Night Football game between Tampa Bay and Atlanta is gorgeous. Both teams in throwbacks, color v color. Just a rare sight. Big fan.

It was gonna happen eventually, right? I’d hoped it would be another year or two down the line, but that’s show business, baby. Onward, upward.

One of my favorite signs of the holiday season is the arrival of Brew Co’s Bon Bon Tsarry Night. Not as many folks are doing barrel-aged stouts these days, so this one is always a nice treat.

The second and third players to enter the portal for the Bears. One thing I keep telling myself is that if Missouri State's staff scouted and recruited guys like Tristian Gardner and others who will leave, they will most likely be able to find some quality players to fill those voids.

This is such a good day. It’s Victoria day. She’s 25 now, a whole quarter-century. She is fierce and brave and soft and loving and I wish the whole world could meet her. Thank you for being your inimitable self. Thank you for letting me be your dad. I love you infinitely.

It’s mid-November. The Bears are still playing meaningful games and folks are talking about bowl game possibilities. I hope MO State fans are reveling in this season. No matter how it ends, it’s been a great FBS debut.

As a fan, I don't get too worked up over DI v DII games. They can be hard for my untrained eye to analyze. I was just happy to watch some basketball.
