Waiting outside of Target for DH to return from the pharmacy and seeing folks walk out with the trappings of what a new year brings—the drive to reorganize, refresh and replace. Storage bins, new bed linens, cleaning supplies, etc.

Holiday cooking is my favorite—this year was a little different as it was our first Christmas without my MIL in our lives. We usually went out to Auburn to see her and I’d always cook a prime rib for her which she loved. It felt weird not to do that this year. Here’s the fruits of my labor. #cooking

Teaching #foodscience this past semester was a challenge but one that I needed. I’d never taught a 1-semester class before and didn’t realize how fast and furious a class could be.

Just finished the most recent season of The Great British Baking Show. I am amazed at the talent those folks have. Also? That show is a great example of how people should support one another. #GBBO

The good thing about having the week off is that I’m getting to cook—this isn’t always possible during a regular school week. Tonight’s dinner: bacon-wrapped Gouda and bacon stuffed pork chops with green beans on the side 😋😋🤤🤤 #cooking

I was able to get in and out of Central Market in less than 15 minutes on the day before Thanksgiving. This deserves a medal. #holidayshopping #groceries

It is satisfying to realize that I read a LOT more books this past year than I did all of last year. Of course, recovering from knee replacement surgery helped…🦵🏽🦿
