We just got another copy of The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum so it's time for me to get back on my soap box and declare this is the greatest work of children's fantasy literature of all time.

More books!

after some delays and trials I think we have a labeling system we're happy with! the labels are secure but come up easily, and we'll make sure they aren't covering important parts of the books cover! now to get all these stacks of books out...

so we're looking to start carrying new books. this was a trial order to make sure I had everything good with Ingram and see how to go about the ordering process with a low risk order. so I've got 3 copies of Dungeon Crawler Carl!

Proud to announce we are doing our first local author event on February 7th! Michael McClellan will be here reading his debut children's book "What's for Dinner?" and will have books available for sale. Bring the family and check out this wonderfully illustrated (NO AI) laugh out loud book!

something else we are trying to do is have the unit up front be dedicated to new stock and recommendations. I wanted to have more done with this before we reopened, so this is still something we're working on.

WE ARE SO BACK! Didn't quite get everything done that I wanted to but that's ok we're good to go. Back open for regular hours from 10 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday to Saturday!

Mystery bags? Mystery bags! 10 books, 10 authors, of a specific genre. Right now we have mysteries, thrillers, romance, and westerns. Try an author you haven't read before! And if you hate the books you got, bring 'em back for store credit!

we did get a lot of books traded in last week so we'll also be working on getting these out onto the shelves this week. will definitely be highlighting some, got a bunch of special editions and box sets. and look at all that Stephen King!

Got a lot of work done today! A project on our list to do was moving the shelves closer together to open up some floor space in the back. They are now just a little under 5 feet apart so there is still plenty of room to move around the aisles. But look at how much space that freed up in the back!

Sorry, I forgot to post on here earlier, but I think the set up I had at the The Garden Cafe's Christmas market turned out pretty good!

ok I've been talking about this for a while, let's do it I need the space. All Nora Roberts/JD Robb paperbacks are $1 and hardbacks are $5! I'll also throw in James Patterson, Clive Cussler, and Stuart Woods! This will be indefinite, until I finally have some space for other books!

adding this Shakespeare and Company edition of Alice and Wonderland to the classics! While I do have a section of children's classics, this will be with the others. you can certainly buy this edition for your kids, but I'm not putting it with the kid books it's too nice 😅

Adding a bunch of books for young readers to the $5 cart and getting out more kids books. Most of these came from the Jefferson County library in Colorado! They've traveled a long way!

I'm done reading them, so it's time for Phoebe and Her Unicorn to hit the shelf! I love this series and am really happy to have some in stock for y'all. If you aren't familiar with the series, it is reminiscent of classics such as Calvin and Hobbs and Peanuts.
