My representative, Jeff Crank of Colorado, never gives a direct answer to my questions. Just sent an email asking him if he supported the tear down of the East Wing of the White House and why. All I got was a canned paragraph about Trump being elected president. At least try to defend your position.

Trump likes to rename things. How about changing the Department of Justice to the Department of Retribution? It would be more accurate.

In Trump’s America hundreds of ICE agents invaded a Chicago apartment building without a warrant. They zip tied residents, including children, and took them away. We are living in a police state.

I thought the right decried cancel culture and championed free speech. Hmmmm, Trump uses his FCC flunky to threaten ABC who then suspends Jimmy Kimmel Live because Kimmel exercised his right to free speech. Once again the hypocrisy is incredible.

So the US Supreme Court says that racial profiling is legal. What has this country come to?

Noncitizens who have not been charged and convicted of crimes are being sent to El Salvador for what amounts to life sentences. And now Trump is contemplating doing the same to citizens. How can this be tolerated?

When House Republicans propose laws limiting the powers of federal judges, effectively increasing the power of the President, do they not realize there could be a Democratic president in the future? Just shortsighted or ready to end the democracy?

So now Trump has turned the White House lawn into a Tesla showroom. How much further can he degrade the presidency?

Donald Trump is targeting individual law firms. When he was charged with crimes and sued in civil courts he was allowed to have the legal representation he chose. Why are the people and groups he doesn’t like not allowed the same right?

Kash Patel is unqualified to head the FBI. He has clearly stated his intent to politicize it. The Republican senators who voted for him should be ashamed. They have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution, yet they are loyal only to Trump.

Indiscriminately firing federal employees is not the way to make government more efficient. It’s like cutting off your foot to lose weight.
