Visiting other schools should be in the job requirements and an expectation for school leaders. I visited two schools recently for author visits, and learned so much about climate and culture just by walking into the schools.

As kids enter our doors, it's important to remember that families send us their best every day and everyone's best is different.

Lead people with grace and compassion.

School should be a place where kids want to go, a place where staff want to be, and a place where families trust and are proud to send their kids.
