#NowPlaying The Sound Of McAlmont & Butler (1996) Bernard has a knack for choosing great collaborators; think of Jessie Buckley recently. In David McAlmont he found a complementary creative partner whose pure falsetto voice would be as good in a hair metal band as this excellent choice of material.

#NowPlaying Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil Remix (2003) Released alongside Forty Licks, this has utterly superfluous remixes by Fatboy Slim and The Neptunes. Great fun but the World really didn't need this. I wonder what Mick & Keef made of it all? #MusicSky #VinylCommunity

#NowPlaying Robert Palmer - Pressure Drop (1975) Contemporaneous to Bowie's Young Americans, which I absolutely, this shows a deeper, maybe longer-lived white boy version of funk & soul (and reggae). First listen for me and I've got to say it's excellent. #VinylCommunity

#NowPlaying Gene - Revelations (1999) From an English rock lineage that can be traced back to the 60s beat explosion, this album is full of explosive pop songs rich in melody and well crafted songs. You'll Never Walk Again is a personal fave. Excellent live recently. #VinylCommunity
