Great to see the Nest has reduced beer prices and will have commentary on the screened game from tomorrow. The club clearly listening to the fans from the survey. Hopefully it will be even busier tomorrow onwards and fans will prefer the changes.

I presume Palmer, Robbo and Jarvis will be available next Saturday. And with the confirmed and anticipated new signings, competition for places is looking much healthier 👍🏻.

I’d start Ness next game instead of Platt. I’d drop Hall and Tsarrolu too. Bennett’s looked good when he came on. Maybe consider a different system? The constant reliance on crossers into the box isn’t effective. Hopefully Matty Palmer is back and Robbo nor far behind.

That was very poor. A lot to unpick. The last 4 games have shown trends that are concerning. Jatta and Dennis look out of sync. Attacking play is predictable and easily dealt with by opposing defenders. Players easily muscled off the ball. Passing is poor. Slow build up play.

I can see us adding 4 players to the squad. A keeper, a left sided defender, a central midfielder and a striker. A few will go out on loan. By the end of January the squad will be much more balanced.

My two takeaway’s from yesterday’s game are 1- we need to be better when opposition teams use an aggressive press and 2- it’s time to start Kouhyar and Jarvis. They both offer much more going forward. Resolve whatever the issue is with Jarvis and get him back in please.

Norburn and Iopenda were excellent yesterday. Also Macari played well. The squad is coping well with injuries, and with Hall now available and Palmer/Robbo back soon we’ll be even stronger. Any idea when Luker is back?

Played well today, total dominance, my criticism would be our crossing into the box which played into their hands and they dealt with comfortably. Also I think Jarvis would’ve made much more of an impact in that game. Not sure if he’s injured or not?

Yesterday’s starting 11 featured 5 summer signings. Maybe the summer recruitment wasn’t too bad after all? Perhaps we just needed time to gel and to find our identity.

It’s great to see Roos hitting good form. Maybe the newish goalkeeper coach has made a big difference? Also, great to see the squad doing the business despite injuries in key areas.

Kouhyar has to start ahead of Nick T. Let’s also try alternative attacking approaches that don’t rely entirely on crosses into the box. Shoot from outside the box. Attack through the middle more. Hopefully Jodie back next week too although I thought Bennett’s did well.

Reflections from today…Colchester outsmarted us and we need to learn from that. Our attacking was far too slow and predictable, our crossing was too easily dealt it. They were more clinical. We need to get the ball to Jatta in a better way so he gets more chances.

Watching the documentary reminded me that we gifted shares to Sven. I believe it was 2.5 % with another 2.5 % if we got to the premier league.

Some observations from today. The subs all made a positive impact. Jarvis was outstanding and needs to play more. The crossing generally was poor. Ness was my motm. We are sometimes too lightweight and get outmuscled.

Watching MOTD and notice Sunderland’s kit is Hummel, a Danish brand, I remember it was popular with kits in the 80s. It looks good too 👍🏻.

Well, all cup distractions have been successfully eliminated…now we can solely concentrate on the league!!

One observation from last night is when we’re passing out from the back we tend to go down dead ends a lot rather than switching play to a player who is available.

Good point last night. A few observations. Jatta, Hall and grant involved in both goals. Our throw ins need a bit of work. Most 50/50s tend to not go our way. The team spirit seems solid. First half we struggled to pass and get momentum but got better second half possibly as Swindon tired.

Maybe I’m getting carried away by today’s win, but do we actually need to sign any players in January? The squad looks really strong 👍🏻👍🏻.
