It has been a whirlwind of a week. The fire by Pasadena, CA has impacted my household in a few ways. Between random power outages, smoke and ash, and taking in a family or two that had to evac, it has been a crazy week. I'm thankful for the FD and my heart mourns for those that lost their home/fam.

I finished 91st place out of 300ish helmets in the @galacticarmory.net Space Marine helmet contest. I'll take it, especially since it crashed and broke a week prior while I was painting it. Led to some unplanned alterations and some cramming to finish it.

My take on a "Ghost Rider" Chaplain helmet from WH40K. WIP update. Still got a number of things to do with him before the contest submission, including LED components and more fire effect details.

Listened to the new Linkin Park yesterday. New singer is very talented. But on this album, it feels like she's part of a cover band trying to imitate Chester & LP. It sounds off, instruments, singing, etc. A nice surprise with a "metal" song mid album. Wasn't expecting that. Overall, 5/10 for me.

Decided to start working on my Chaplain "Rider" helmet. Trying to get the fiery glow... as I plan to have some material coming out of the eyes and side of mouth, top of head, etc. painted up more "fire like". With that said, first time doing a fire like design with an airbrush. You, new things.
