Happy new year✨! 2025 might have been the worst year I've had, but I'm coping that it changed me for the better. In 2026 I want to focus on - Being more social online - Drawing faster & more consistently - Tracking my finances properly - Improving focus and wasting less time

I was hoping to finish the game before Nina went back home, but the base game just wasn’t fun, so I took some time to rethink things. All the power outages slowed down progress a lot, but I’m finally feeling good about the direction of the game!

Power was out all week because of a massive storm, so I couldn’t work on the game at all 😮‍💨. I did manage to get some art done though, I’ll share it tomorrow.

Finished the core systems the game needs to run - Player movement - Basic enemy behavior - Collisions and hitboxes - Level controller + game state manager - Guns and projectiles - Simple sprites and animations With the foundation done, I can start real gameplay and make it look better #gamedev

Started a new game this week, nothing to show yet, but I realized I work better when I focus on one thing at a time. So instead of juggling art and gamedev I’m going to try switching between the two each week or so.

I decided on a game where you play as Kitanya_Is_Here and you have to catch Max using her lure, still experimenting with what to add with the light mechanic to make the game fun #indiedev

I miss gamedeving so I'm going to try and make a small game before the end of the month. To prevent scope creep I'm limiting it to: -Pixel art with max 8 colors -WASD + max 2 buttons -Just one core mechanic -Play sessions of 5-15 minutes -Going to try and make an original bgm
