The #LASI7 post-conf fieldtrip in SE #Iceland was a blast! On day 1 Gudmundur Omar took us into the heart of #Geitafell, once a central #volcano. We saw the gabbro intrusion that once sat at 2-3 km depth, and the most impressive sheet intrusion complex above that once fed #lava flows!

And with that, the main conference of #LASI7 is over and disappears in our foggy rearview mirrors of time! It was an honor to host all of you VIPS in #Iceland! See you in a few years in..?
