In 2010 I created a work, Princess, inspired by Tasmania's first princess, Princess Melikoff, 1893-1988. A wealthy heiress, Pauline Curran, who became a princess through marriage to a poor but titled Russian prince. Our second princess was of course Princess Mary, now Queen Mary of Denmark.

From late 2022 to mid 2023 I read oracle cards created by the artist Tomas Saraceno in his exhibition Oceans of Air at Mona. Tomas created the cards based on his research into spider divination across cultures and time. I think often of this experience as I learnt so much about myself and others.
