Found by Andy Sims this morning some distance away this Pectoral Sandpiper had moved to to be just in front of the hide by the time I had finished my breakfast and walked over to Boultham Mere. Its constant companion was a Ruff @lincsbirding.bsky.social

After seeing the Black-winged Pratincole at Nebraska Wetlands it was over the Humber Bridge to the North Cave to see if we could see the Night Heron. Came across a guy who was watching the bird. Over the water in thick trees. Without him we would have walked straight past oblivious to its presence

Wood Sandpiper at a very dry Frampton Marsh this afternoon @lincsbirding.bsky.social. So dry that the 27 Spoonbill were on the reservoir. Most of the waders were in front of the reed-bed hide. Not much anywhere else

#nottsbirding At Besthope this morning before the rain arrived were a Spoonbill, a Cattle Egret, a Great White Egret, 12 Little Egret and 7 Grey Heron. Among the supporting cast were 2 Oystercatcher, 7 Egyptian Geese and around 100 Cormorant

Learning about Dippers together on Springwatch

After reading Andrew Vaughan's report yesterday decided St Aidans was the place for us. 44 species including 2 Bittern, 7 BNG, 2 LO, 2 Garganey, 2 Avocet, 2 Redshank and LRP. Lots of Cetti's, Reed Warblers, Reed Buntings, Common Tern all made the trip up the A1 worthwhile

Get a picture of that Oystercatcher I thought to myself at Old Moor. Just as I got it in frame it flew and straight towards me too. Lucky and even luckier was to to get two Little Ringed Plovers that were in the vicinity in shot also. Unfortunately didn't get the Bittern that I saw fly #RSPB

Only seen about a dozen Swift before today then one bombs my Little Egret. They were everywhere

Went with Ann and dog today to Padley Gorge where Wood Warbler performed excellently. Perhaps there was another one in the area by the gate where you leave the woods. Scarce were pied flycatcher but dipper was nice. Upper Burbage with stonechat and whinchat and a ring ouzel with food eventually

When it wasn’t obscured by cows the buff-breasted sandpiper showed well at Halton Marsh albeit usually on the first pool west of Winter’s Pool #lincsbirding
