Okay, day 10, last
#LibFaves25
of this year is BACK AFTER THIS by Linda Holmes. I never met a Linda Holmes book I didnāt love. Such charming characters and an irresistible premise. Plus a big goofy dog? Come on. I was also glad to have her narrate the audiobook as I love her voice on PCHH

Ack! I missed
#LibFaves25
day 9 yesterday! My pick was THIS PLACE KILLS ME by Marino Tamaki and Nicole Goux. I loved the combination of the art style and boarding school mystery. Gloomy and emotional but the graphic novel format keeps the pace up.

My day 8
#LibFaves25
title is THE PHOENIX PENCIL COMPANY by Allison King. A stellar magical realism historical fiction intergenerational tale. Drawn in by thorough world building, I became so invested in every relationship in this story. And another hat tip to

It is day 7 of

and my book for today is Candle Island by Lauren Wolk. I adore the lived in worlds that she creates. I read this in one sitting on vacation which is an ideal way to read it.

For day 6 of
#LibFaves25
my pick is The Teacher of Nomad Land by Daniel Nayeri. If I was still in a public library this would be a new Swiss army knife recommendation, it has so many appeal factors. So many kids will fall in love with this story. A WWII story that feels unique.

Day 5 of
#LibFaves25
is THE LEAVING ROOM by Amber McBride. Novels in verse are outside my wheelhouse but I found myself swept up in the beautiful language and imagery. Maybe audio is the way to go for verse novels? And she totally stuck the landing with sort of a tricky ending!

My day 4 pick for
#LibFaves25
is ACTRESS OF A CERTAIN AGE by Jeff Hiller. A warm and funny memoir and an absolutely top notch audiobook. I was lucky enough to see Jeff Hiller speak at a library event and he is charming and genuine and a brilliant storyteller.

Drove over an hour to another state to see Wake Up Dead Man in theater and there was a group of people that talked through the first hour! Like, damn dudes, itās gonna be on Netflix in two weeks you couldnāt wait and talk through it at home?

Obsessed with my dermatologist, who basically called me tonight after my appointment today to say "i've been thinking about how bad your face looks," which if anyone else said that it would devastate me but she's coming with solutions so it's fine.
