According to Google, this is yellow wort, or blackstonia. I noticed it a while back and I’ve been waiting for it to open, which it’s finally starting to do. Not sure how I’ve missed it before but it’s a fairly common British wildflower and it’s absolutely gorgeous 🌼😍 #wildflower

I’ve just walked past this patch of intense California poppies and they weren’t a fluke, it’s the same patch as last year with lots more in it and they’re growing well. Fabulous shade. I might snaffle a seed head or two, they’re pavement poppies so they’re fair game 😁🌼😍 #poppy

It’s FunguSunday! Here’s the mushroom stump in Pwll-y-Crochan woods. In all the years I’ve been visiting it, only once has it failed to put out fifty gazillion sulphur tufts. This was it just starting up last October 🍄‍🟫💛 #mushroom

#throwbackthursday I think that was Anglesey and I’d have been 19 or 20, so 1986 ish. I accidentally dyed my hair black by putting a brown dye on straight after a perm and hated it with a passion, I remember that bit perfectly 😂😂

The main flower displays are timed to bloom in the school summer holidays as that’s when they get the most visitors up at the Welsh Mountain Zoo but this little Mexican snowball had already popped up today. I love these things 😍 #succulents
