You know what we need? A tv show about fuel rats in the #EliteDangerous universe. Few space battles and background politics, but put the main focus on space truckers supplying fuel to ships that get stranded. I'd watch it.

I'm away this weekend, but I've stumbled upon another PC-98 game I'd like to look into localising next; Nostalgia 1907. What caught my attention was this system where you select a response then select how you emote it, and that sends you down different dialogue routes. In 1991!

I keep coming back to this idea every couple of months and I have no idea how to go about it primarily because I can't do graphics. The most I can do is a computer interface and abstract representations of the pieces but that feels lacking without at least some NPC portraits.

I need to stop trying to learn pixel art. Every time I spend a couple of hours on a tutorial I'm like "I don't get this". I know there's a method, but from my perspective it feels very vibes-based so I can't see a formulaic way of doing things and that confuses me as a programmer.
