Why does every recent Sony first party game have really shitty, imprecise platforming for no reason? Is it a company mandate?

I think Death Stranding 2 and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 are genuine masterpieces, but I know I'll be telling people to play Hell Is Us for the next decade+. So that's my game of the year.

Had a productive gaming holiday so far. Finished Skate Story (excellent) and Alan Wake II DLC (mid, but liked Lake House). Smashed out a season of Football Manager. A stack of Lego Party with wifey (better than Mario's recent parties). And about 10 hours of Stellar Blade (better than expected).

Rental Family was my Christmas day cinema visit today. Lovely film.

Skate Story is flipping awesome! A gorgeous game - both visually and audibly. Darken the room and pump up the sound. And it has a stack of accessibility options, so if you are garbage at skating games like me - no worries. Just tune the settings and have fun.

A Minecraft Movie deserved to win the best video game adaptation award. Such a joyous film that playfully adapted the source. The hate that film gets is so overblown. It is a very silly and fun kids movie with no desire to be anything else.

I didn't have much as a kid. Watched Resident Evil at least once a week for 2+ years when the DVD first came out. American Pie, Charlie's Angels, Paws and Ronin would be 50+ as I had each on VHS. According to Letterboxd, the only post-2015 film I've watched 6+ times is Sicario.

Didn't mind the Alien Earth finale. I think the issue with the show is that it's a great Alien film with 5 episodes tacked on. The finale sets up what could become a very silly but fun show.

I'm enjoying Welcome to Derry - the horror elements really hit hard. However, I feel like Lovecraft Country and Watchmen '19 covered a lot of the same ground in far better and more interesting ways. My memory may be faulty though.

I've read maybe 30 books in my life, of which at least 20 of them are Parkers. It is a very important series and character to me. Anyway, I thought Play Dirty was heaps of fun. I laughed A LOT. But it isn't a Parker film and I'm disappointed in Shane Black for that.
