Now this is something interesting. I got an email with my sales report from December, and among some other platforms, I sold a copy of LfaCH on Hoopla, which I had never heard of. Upon looking it up, it's a site where LIBRARIES can purchase books for their collections!

This photo goes so hard, I love it. The snowstorm is perfect to demonstrate the classic harsh Scandinavian winter, take advantage of the black-and-white color scheme, and of course obscure the troll. At the same time, the trees being visible gives a sense of scale for just how massive this being is.

The Yakwawiak are creatures from Appalachian + Ohio River Valley Indigenous histories (such as Lenape and Shawnee). They were huge and shaggy, with giant heads that bore two enormous horns or tusks. Their aggressive nature led to all other beings banding together and destroying them. And...1/5
