To honor the organic human creativity that defines art of any kind, I'm creating a Letters from a Cryptid Hunter ARTBOOK! Danielle M. Caulk's illustrations are some of the best and most defining parts of Volume 1, and I want to show some of the behind-the-scenes process of creating them.

Now this is something interesting. I got an email with my sales report from December, and among some other platforms, I sold a copy of LfaCH on Hoopla, which I had never heard of. Upon looking it up, it's a site where LIBRARIES can purchase books for their collections!

This photo goes so hard, I love it. The snowstorm is perfect to demonstrate the classic harsh Scandinavian winter, take advantage of the black-and-white color scheme, and of course obscure the troll. At the same time, the trees being visible gives a sense of scale for just how massive this being is.

Also in the PNW are many Indigenous groups, including the Haida and Tlingit, who once had war canoes with ARMORED KNIGHTS!!! November is Native American/Indigenous People's Month, and I just realized that, purely by coincidence, my debut novel, which also features an Indigenous (Oklahoma Cherokee) protagonist, comes out on the 25th! And last month, I connected deeply with my Taíno roots in Puerto Rico. PERFECCIÓN!
