Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter - Of course I played this (on Nightmare), and it is a fantastic remake. Loved the look and the voice acting along with the re-creation of pivotal moments in the start of this grand series. Worth a look for any remotely interested.

I really do love how connected Zemuria feels throughout all of the Trails games so far. Despite the different arcs, they do such a great job at making each region feel distinct while making it clear that their events aren't happening inside of a bubble

In Donkey Kong Bananza, DK's banana awareness is tied to how far the camera is zoomed out. If the bananas are offscreen, this can create the impression of him playing a silly game with the camera where he makes a funny face only when the player isn't looking closely.

The attention to detail in Sky 1st Chapter is really something else. Even the silent NPCs have their own little narratives. Here's an example. In Rolent there are two NPCs that you can't talk to: an old woman that is always reading by herself and a boy that you first see waving at some birds. 🧵

Happy Trails in the Sky 1st launch day! This series truly did change my life and rewrote my brain chemistry for the better. I can’t think of another work of art that’s moved me quite as much. I hope as many people try the demo and get the full game because there’s nothing else like it out there.
