#ArchiAdventureWIPs Finally actually starting work on the Starspire Island maps!! Can't express enough how happy I am to be done with the Overworld stuff for the time being. It's in a state i can easily add things and everything has a new look and got improved all around. More map work tomorrow :]

#ArchiAdventureWIPs Starshrine Island is being replaced by... Starspire Island! This tower is said to pierce the sky, up to Star Haven! But since the Star Shards are missing, you can't climb it... Luckily, every Star Shard you return, the stairs upwards reemerge!

#ArchiAdventureWIPs I entirely remade the Overworld UI and added a few settings for customization! Settings like the boat movement transitions and choosing your menu color I'm especially happy with, cause i love when games have those lol Respond the settings YOU would chose! i'm kinda curious :3c

#ArchiAdventureWIPs Mario now uses a hammer called the "Reinforced Hammer"! I found it weird to give the player the super hammer and just have it do 3 damage in battle, so now it's just a stronger base hammer! (which is just a reskinned Super Hammer, but don't tell anyone)

here's a demo of Paper Mario with peer-to-peer networking! how? by writing a separate application that talks to the emulator (or your favourite flashcart) over the GDB remote serial protocol. the game makes an RPC call (e.g. "move me to this xyz"), and it is broadcast to all peers over WebRTC 🤯

In Paper Mario, Bob-ombs can be defused with water moves. Due to their low HP, the only way to pull this off is to attack one for 1 damage, then perform Tidal Wave with Sushie with exactly one correct input to prevent the move from killing it.
