All positive at the fracture clinic. 2 more weeks of boot on pretty much all the time and then can start wearing it a bit less. No driving for 4 weeks. But shouldn’t affect my knee replacement at the end of Oct.

Off to the fracture clinic today - hopefully will know how many more weeks I am in the snazzy boot and when I can drive again 🤞🤞

After 4 days of being housebound with a stress fracture in my ankle and a snazzy walking boot to wear at all times, I took a break from elevating and icing it to go for ice cream at Pomeroy Farm - luckily it was a few metres from the car park to the picnic tables - I didn’t drive obviously!

So as well as horrible knee pain, I also have a stress fracture in my ankle so will be wearing this item of high fashion for the next 6 weeks and will not be able to drive. Currently a mixture of angry and upset. Holiday plans to London and and Norfolk Coast won’t be happening, nor will swimming.

Tears of relief here - surgeon has said yes and that they will be in contact in the next couple of weeks to offer me a date for my left knee replacement, and then I can have the other one done shortly after. A very good outcome.

Have been given some codeine to try as my OA pain is currently unmanageable, and my walking is VERY limited. Should get some crutches tomorrow to help me for the next couple of weeks. A while ago I bought a stick - I used it for the first time today. It was upsetting, but it did make a difference.

Off to London for a few days with M in a couple of weeks. So far I have booked the Moco museum and Frameless (that handily are pretty much next door to each other and about 2 mins walk from Marble Arch tune). Can wait - loved the Moco in Amsterdam last summer, and Frameless looks incredible!

Oh no Tommeeee, don’t worry, there’s probably a few pennies left in one of your many Go Fund Me accounts to fund your defence!

Just said goodbye to M who is flying to Cologne with her dad for 5 days. I love that she gets lovely experiences with him but I miss her so much when she is not here.

Maya and I spent some time with the beautiful Reggie and Herb yesterday - she booked it for my birthday. It’s been a hard week for a number of reasons but these beauties made me feel a lot better.

Did about half of the Hop to it trail in Ipswich today before pain levels went through the roof and I had to give in. Some really beautiful artwork on display! These were my favourites…

This one turned 14 last week - yesterday secured her first part-time job taking out food orders and clearing tables at the local brewery bar/events space. One very happy girl!

Celebrating 14 a couple of days early - I didn’t make the cake though - that’s her dad’s department!

Before and after - the annual trim. Around 8 inches off and it took well over an hour, with 2 people working on her hair for the last 30 mins. But even with all the pre-haircut moaning, she is pretty happy with the result! 😍

M’s on an inset day today. I took a couple of hours off earlier and am working this evening so we could get out for a quick walk. The winds were brutal on Baslow Edge this morning however the rain stayed away and the cows were about - it definitely blew the cobwebs away!
