I read about the new tendency of fanfic readers to gush about fanfic writers in private on discord, and not leaving any comment or even kudos on the works. I'm talking as a millennial here, who has seen the internet evolve before social media became so widespread...

A fic of mine has crossed 7k hits, but the kudos count is still in 300, yet every day I see the view count on the fic increasing. I feel so discouraged when I get no positive comments, now even the number of kudos is declining.

I think a big fandom shift in interacting with stuff has gone from people commenting under the created thing whether it be fic or art to people linking it in private discord groups where the person who made it will never see any positive comments left on the thing they made.

I've got the high fantasy itch. I should continue the bkdk fic I started like two years ago, but... idk... And I should also continue the Red Poppy Asylum thing but... The itch to write another dragon story is strong...

Reading Bride of Ignat and dream that Nitro+Chiral could offer us one more fantasy VN about as good as Lamento, but with dragons (er, there was something like dragons, but ACTUAL dragons...)
