An ocean canopy. Bull kelp thriving in the beautiful blue waters of the Monterey Bay. The kelpās pneumatocyst, a gas filled bladder, helps it stay afloat on the oceanās surface aiding in photosynthesis process.

Iām excited to have come first place in the Woodlands category in the
@natural-landscapes.bsky.social
awards with this photo āRemnant of timeā. It was taken on an exceptionally cold morning with a thick frost encrusting the Caledonian forest. Congrats to other winners, organisers and judges.

White Shores and Beyond - 2024 This year had very much been one where I really stopped trying to stick to one particular style of image and just opened up entirely to less obvious scenes. However, old habits die hard. Big, open, airy landscapes will always be my true love.

Good morning BlueSky world! I have to say this place feels much better than being on IG or FB, etc. Let's hope this community continues to grows. There's SUCH a need for a healthier, more ethical place to share and discuss photography. Oh yeah, this is a pretty image from my trip to Utah fall

This sandstone was beautiful enough on its own but as the tide was rising, small waves starting cascading off adding an ethereal effect to the frame.
