I have successfully repurposed an old tablet as a drawing tablet for linux using GfxTablet, and xinput for remapping.

not me trying to install arch on a very shitty old tablet to attempt to use it as a drawing tablet. Since the main OS on it is way too fucking laggy to actually be usable.
