As we speed towards the final three episodes of _Doctor Who_ Series 15, the rumours are completely wild right now. The Whoniverse has always been a breeding ground for out-there theories and rumours, but this latest batch feels different. The leaker behind many of them so far has been right more often than not this season, so I couldnât help diving deeper and pulling everything together.
Of course, itâs all still unconfirmed, but if youâd rather not take any chances and go into the final three episodes completely unspoiled, nowâs your cue to look away. For everyone else, continue under this pictureâŚ
So here are the wildest, weirdest, and maybe even true spoilers currently swirling through time and spaceâŚ
### 5. Mrs Flood is the Rani
For years, it has been a running joke that any mysterious woman in _Doctor Who_ must be the Rani. But this time, it might actually be happening.
For those newer to the lore, the Rani is a rogue Time Lord, known for her cold intellect and cruel experiments. She first appeared in the classic era, in _The Mark of the Rani_ , portrayed by Kate OâMara, and was last seen on screen in _Time and the Rani_ , ignoring the 1993 _Children in Need_ special _Dimensions in Time_(and you really should!).
According to persistent leaks, Mrs Flood will reveal herself as the Rani at the conclusion of this weekendâs âThe Interstellar Song Contestâ. In an unexpected twist, a bi-generation (first introduced in âThe Giggleâ) occurs again, splitting Mrs Flood into two versions of herself. A younger version of the Rani emerges, played by an as-yet-unconfirmed actress, with speculation pointing towards Archie Panjabi.
Episode 7, âWish Worldâ, is said to open with scenes of the younger Rani galloping through a forest in Hungary. She appears to be orchestrating an elaborate, experiment, a plot that seems to tie directly into the seriesâ true villain. Which leads me to the next pointâŚ
### 4. Omega is the Big Bad
The mysterious âOne Who Waitsâ may turn out to be Omega, one of the founding fathers of Time Lord civilisation. A legendary engineer believed lost to a black hole, Omega last appeared in _Arc of Infinity_ (1983), and much like the Rani, has long been a favourite candidate for a return. His name is so frequently theorised in fact, it has become a bit of a running joke in fandom.
Now, it too might actually be happening.
The rumour claims that Mrs Flood, or rather the Rani, is working to summon Omega from a place known as the Underverse. That name was recently used by RTD in official press material, adding credibility to the theory. Somewhat controversially, Omega is said to manifest as a monstrous CGI creature with a huge claw and a voice allegedly resembling Gabriel Woolf (known for voicing last yearâs big bad Sutekh).
### 3. Susan Foreman Finally Returns (Kind of)
Long-time fans, take note. Susan Foreman, the Doctorâs granddaughter, has been a subject of speculation for decades. She of course debuted in the first ever _Doctor Who_ serial _An Unearthly Child_ , and was last properly seen in _The Five Doctors_. Her name surfaced multiple times in Series 14, but no full return has occurred. Until now⌠perhaps.
The rumour suggests Carole Ann Ford, who originated the role, will appear in a cameo. However, it will not be a traditional return. Susan is said to appear as a glass avatar, similar to those seen in âTwice Upon a Timeâ, rather than in her original form.
Her appearance is said to take place either in âWish Worldâ or perhaps during a regeneration in âThe Reality Warâ, which brings me toâŚ
### 2. The Fifteenth Doctor Regenerates
Ncuti Gatwa may only be two series in, but according to rumour, his time could be up at the end of Series 15. Leaks claim the Fifteenth Doctor begins to regenerate in the finale.
There are two conflicting versions of this rumour. In the first, the Fifteenth Doctor begins to regenerate and sees a vision of the Thirteenth Doctor, in a moment reminiscent of Eleven seeing Amy during his farewell. The episode then ends without revealing the next Doctor, leaving the regeneration open-ended. Some believe this is a contingency plan in case the show is not immediately renewed, allowing the next incarnation to be cast or introduced later if needed.
The other rumour claims that a new Doctor is in fact shown, described by the leaker as âfemale and familiarâ. Fans quickly began speculating after it was mentioned that the actress might have been spotted at last weekâs BAFTAs. Names floated include Suranne Jones (Idris from âThe Doctorâs Wifeâ), Joanna Page (Queen Elizabeth I in âThe Day of the Doctorâ), Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Anna Maxwell Martin (Suki in âThe Long Gameâ), Rose Ayling-Ellis (Aliss in âThe Wellâ), and Nicola Coughlan (Joy in âJoy to the Worldâ).
### 1. The Doctorâs Daughter is⌠Poppy?!
Of all the finale rumours, this one has to be the most bonkers. Poppy, one of the unsettling talking babies from âSpace Babiesâ, may in fact be the Doctorâs daughter.
This all gained traction after last weekâs episode, âThe Story and the Engineâ. While the Doctor is held by the Barber, Belinda wanders through the city and hears a mysterious giggle. She spots a young girl waving at her, only for the child to vanish moments later. When she tells the Doctor, he claims he saw nothing, but ominously notes that the âstoriesâ are beginning to leak out and blur together.
At first, this might seem like a random, eerie beat, but thereâs more to it. The child in question is credited as âPoppyâ, and played by Sienna-Robyn Mavanga-Phipps, the same actress who voiced Poppy in âSpace Babiesâ. Sheâs also credited again in the upcoming âWish Worldâ, strongly suggesting this is not a coincidence or simple reuse, but a deliberate, continuing character arc.
That continuity leads directly into another rumour about the penultimate episode. Itâs said to take place on a strange, altered world where the Doctor is trapped by Mrs Flood, and comes to believe that he is Poppyâs father. Whether it is a psychic projection, a dream reality, or some kind of temporal manipulation is unclear, but it would explain Poppyâs reappearances and hint at a deeper, emotional payoff yet to come.
### Conclusion
Of course, it is entirely possible that all of these rumours are complete nonsense. _Doctor Who_ has always thrived on mystery, misdirection and fan speculation. Whether Mrs Flood is really the Rani, whether Omega is finally back with a giant claw, or whether the Doctor ends up with a baby daughter, remains to be seen. But the joy of _Doctor Who_ has always been the thrill of guessing. As we hurtle towards the Series 15 finale, one thing is certain, we are in for one unpredictable ride. https://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/doctor-who-series-15-spoilers-104826.htm
