The final piece of my initial impressions on Sky 1st is out! Look forward to the review from someone who spent 80 hours doing pretty much everything you can do in the game soon!

every state of play for me is just "Bandai Namco has the opportunity to do the funniest thing" (announce Xenosaga remakes as a collab with Monolith that are multiplat but revealed for PS first) and then not only does that not happen but nothing unironically good happens either

I’m absolutely amazed the Sky remake: 1. did not change the visuals of Zeiss AT ALL to make it more technologically advanced 2. kept the NPC from Calvard who marvels at how advanced Liberl’s steampunk 1910s tech is when HIS country will have a thriving vtuber culture in 7 years

it's really funny how most Trails protags are the same age but you don't realize it without looking it up because of the passage of time and the focus on them at different points in their lives Estelle, Lloyd and Rean were born in the same year an Van is only two years older

on one hand I'm glad there wasn't any Xeno in the direct because that actually gives me enough time to give Trails the attention it deserves but on the other hand we needed the Switch 2 patch for X about three months ago

Armand and Ellie's names have been changed to match the original Sky FC in the full game, fixing a discrepancy with the Crossbell arc in the demo
