I joined cross-Party MPs in signing a motion calling for the Chancellor to abolish the two-child limit in the Autumn Budget. Ending this cruel policy would lift 670,000 people, including 470,000 children, out of severe hardship and transform lives across the UK.

I spoke in Parliament about global tax justice. Multinationals shifting billions through tax havens deprive our hospitals, schools and care services of tens of billions every year. It’s time for transparency, fairness and change.

The Government have committed to consider pre-existing evidence they had not looked at when making their decision on the need for financial redress for 1950s born women due to DWP maladministration of state pension age changes. (1/2)

I’ve written with fellow Greater Manchester MPs to Ministers urging fair funding for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS). GMFRS keeps our region safe, from floods to terror responses, but faces real strain. It’s time for proper national support.

We’ve lost 260,000 social rented homes in the last decade. If we’re serious about ending homelessness, Councils need the power, funding and freedom to build social homes at scale, homes at true social rent, not unaffordable “affordable” rents.
