Highguard kinda has a perfect situation where a ridiculous portion of the US will be snowed in at home on Monday and able to give concord 2 a shot

games i beat in 2025 i played a lot of great games this year but the fact that i can still tear up when i picture a certain moment in 1000x Resist makes me think thats a really special game (and it most certainly is)

final game beaten of 2025 is strangely Infernax, a throwback castlevania-like from a few years ago. really competent and satisfying adventure considering how simple the mechanics are. just a well made game with some tense platforming and rewarding progression.

projects as large as a game will inevitably have ups and downs. right now im in a low spot. juggling a handful of different changes which all feel like a lot of restructuring for not a lot of immediate payoff. i was very hopeful to have a steam page and demo up in December but now im not so sure. 😔

as per indie dev tradition, i'm kinda redoing the entire structure of SongRunner unexpectedly. before (left), i had a grid of levels. i felt like this made each level feel too separated. now (right, WIP), i've grouped those levels together into chapters. i like this... 1/2 #Godot #indiedev #gamedev

ive had conflicting thoughts about Arc Raiders. the AI voice acting bit is admittedly a small part of the overall package, but I also think it sets the absolute worst precedent, and I fear for how this gives other developers the green light to take bigger steps into generative AI in future games.
