The GOP hold a 6 seat lead in the House. One is in Arizona where a Dem has won but Johnson won’t swear her in. Another is in Texas in a safe Dem district where 2 Democrats must have a runoff that Abbot is refusing to schedule. The 3rd is TN7 where @aftynbehn.bsky.social is going to beat the MAGA!

Tennessee has a special election on December 2nd to fill an empty House seat. Just think, one more Democrat in Congress to narrow that razor thin GOP majority until we clobber them next November. It doesn’t matter if you live in Tennessee, an Aftyn win is a win for everyone.

I was in DC yesterday. National Guard were everywhere—the Mall, the subway, etc. They all looked very board. I didn’t see any doing anything but walking around. One caught me watching him and his buddies and gave me the saddest smile.

Guys, it’s August, in Tennessee, and we’ve had the windows opened all day (AC off). This is not normal.

I made perfect risotto for dinner tonight. I’m taking my wins where I can get them. It had fresh tomatoes, Italian sausage, good Parmesan cheese, and basil from the garden.
