Here are my #libfaves25 honorable mentions! It was *soooo* difficult to narrow my favorites down to 10 titles. I struggled between a few, and kept flip-flopping. Titles and authors in the alt text!

It's the last day of #LibFaves25, and my pick for today is THE LAMB by Lucy Rose. I can't say much without spoilers, but If you enjoyed Wake Up and Open Your Eyes (Clay McLeod Chapman) or Earthlings (Sayaka Murata), then this is probably for you... This one is going to take a while to get over.

It's day 9 of #LibFaves25, and today's pick (in no particular order) is BLOB: A LOVE STORY by Maggie Su. Vi discovers an amorphous blob. She's a little drunk, so she takes the blob home. It starts to grow into a human shape, so Vi decides to mold the blob into the perfect boyfriend, like you do 👍

It's day 8 of #LibFaves25, and today's pick (in no particular order) is What We Can Know by Ian McEwan. It's 2119, and most of the Western world is under water. People of this time are haunted by the abundance of the past, and one particular poem read at a dinner party in 2014...

It's day 6 of #LibFaves25, and today's pick (in no particular order), is THE SOFA by Sam Munson. Such a fun little gem about a haunted... Sofa 🤔 If I see a book from indie publisher Two Dollar Radio out in the wild, I buy it. They conveniently put their logo on the spine so it's easy to spot 😂

It's day 5 of #LibFaves25, and today's pick (in no particular order) is WAKE UP AND OPEN YOUR EYES by Clay McLeod Chapman. The entire second half is a weird fever dream of the male lead imaging his every move narrated by Anderson Cooper. I laughed, got mad, almost threw up, and had to hold my dog.

It's day 4 of #LibFaves25, and today's pick (in no particular order) is FORECLOSURE GOTHIC by Harris Lahti. Vic quits his Hollywood acting gig and moves to the Hudson Valley area to follow in his father's footsteps - renovating foreclosure properties to sell at a profit. Things get kinda weird... 👀

It's day 3 of #LibFaves25, and today's pick (in no particular order) is THERE IS NO ANTIMEMETICS DIVISION by qntm (This book was independently published in 2020, but was revised and published by Ballantine Books in 2025) How can you destroy a monster if you can't remember that it exists?

It's day 2 of #LibFaves25 - my 2nd pick (in no particular order) is THE BUFFALO HUNTER HUNTER by Stephen Graham Jones. It's 1912, and a Lutheran pastor takes the confession of a Native American vampire. Mostly told through the lense of the Pastor's journal entries. I highly recommend the audio!

It's day 1 of #LibFaves25 🥳 My list is in no particular order. First pick: VICTORIAN PSYCHO by Virginia Feito. I absolutely loved Virginia Feito's debut novel, Mrs. March. So I obviously had to read her second novel. A governess, a mansion, secrets, and mass murder. What's not to love?

One of my biggest pet peeves is when you're watching a cooking show or video, and they're like, "Ask your local butcher..." And I'm like, "You mean just go to the meat department at the supermarket? My choices are Price Chopper, Hannaford, or Walmart."

If the book doesn't give me this reaction, I don't wanna read it. 📚💙

On vacation this week! Took a trip to Ithaca, NY to visit some independent book stores and eat some tasty food! Got to geek out with an employee at Odyssey Bookstore when I told her that I have to buy every new @twodollarradio.bsky.social book I come across 😍 Found some good ones! 📚💙

My dog is sensitive. It started to sleet and get really windy out during our walk, so she refused to poop. She squatted down twice and geared up for it, then chickened out and dragged me back to the house. Now my husband is taking her back out to finish up her business.

Patricia Lockwood's last novel, No One is Talking About This, holds a special place in my heart. I would highly recommend the audio. Kristen Sieh was born for that role. Lockwood's latest work, Will There Ever Be Another You, is an absolute fever-dream and I loved it. 10/10. 🖋️📚💙

Okay, so I'm not usually a "cozy" reader, but my last couple of cozy sci-fi and fantasy reads have been pretty fire 👀 My latest was the audio for Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz. Anyone have some good cozy sci-fi recs? I also really enjoyed the Monk and Robot series by Becky Chambers. 🪐📚💙
